Delivery of ACHA Petition to ease travel between India and Pakistan
We are getting the petition and signatures gathered so far ready for delivery to the ambassadors of India and Pakistan in Washington, DC, on October 15.

The delivery of the petition will be part of a Peace March from the Pakistan Embassy to the Indian Embassy, led by Dr. Sandeep Pandey. Dr. Pandey, a peace activist in India, is known for leading several peace marches, the last one being from Delhi to Multan earlier this year. Also, in reognition of his effors to promote education in India and his leadership of the National Alliance of People's Movements, in 2002, he was honored with the Magsaysay Award for emergent leadership.
To prepare for this occasion, we have closed the online petition and have already received all the signatures from India and Pakistan. Only signature we have not received so far are those collected at your Independence Day celebration in Maryland.
Not counting the Maryland signatures, we now have 1,390 signatures. Details are as follows:
From India 432 (All collected during the Delhi-Multan Peace March)
From Pakistan 421 (194 collected during the Delhi-Multan Peace March,
and 227 collected by Mr. Ashfaq Fateh Masih, a peace activist from Toba Tek Singh, and Principal of St. Peters High School located there )
Gathered Online 287 (Representing 13 countries, including India and
Gathered in Portland area 250 (Collected by ACHA members and volunteers in
Portland, Oregon area)
