Link to Asia Peace (ACHA) Site India-Pakistan Peace Day 2010 ANNOUNCEMENTS *July 27 –August 14: India - Peace Caravan Amn ke Badhte Qadam To promote peace between India and Pakistan, the Caravan will leave on July 27 evening, from the Gateway of India in Mumbai. After night halts at Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Ahmedabad, Anand, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Bayana, Bharatpur, Delhi, Sonepat, Panipat, Karnal, Ludhiana, and Jalandhar, it will arrive at Amritsar on the night of August 12. On the night of August 14, the caravan will merge with the candle lighting programme at Attari border, which is traditionally organized every year by Sh. Kuldip Nayar and friends. A similar candle lighting event will take place on the Wagah side of border by Pakistani friends. Depending on granting of visas some Indian delegates will participate in a convention on 15th August in Lahore. Before that Pakistani delegates will participate in the convention organized by Kuldip Nayar sahab and friends on 13th August in Amritsar.
